Thanks to our fellow enthusiasts, we have raised the necessary funds to manufacture a prototype rotor and stator at a good price.

Both rotor and stator laminations will be made by one of the following manufacturing processes:

Metal Stamping (widely used)
Lasercutting
Wirecutting
Chemical Etching


Some processes are more expensive than others but are more precise. Each component (either rotor or stator part) are 440 laminations in height, each lamination being .35 millimeters thick. 

You will need to locate your own electric rotor and stator fabricator. Expect quotes to vary depending on method,
short-run (prototyping) metal stamping mould and tooling can cost between 5000-20000 USD depending on the manufacturer.
